MOUNTRATH FINE GAEL BRANCH
The local branch will hold their AGM on Friday April 25 in St Fintan’s Hall at 8.30pm. All branch members are requested to attend. All are welcome very welcome. The Fine Gael national collection will be held at church gates in Mountrath and Castletown on Saturday April 26, Sunday April 27.
FUNDRAISER FOR CUISLE CENTRE
You are all welcome to a free ladies beauty day in the Mountmellick Development Association on Saturday April 26 from 12 – 4pm. Enjoy free luxury facials, hand massages and foot massages and you may pre book any of the mini sessions by calling Helen Moloney on 087 124 7723. To fundraise, products from the Forever Living Aloe Vera natural range will be used, all profits from products ordered will go directly to the Cuisle Centre. We will also have a table of products to optimise sports performance. Everyone will also be entered into our free raffle for hampers of personal care products from the Aloe Vera range.
APOSTOLIC WORK SOCIETY
This group will hold their annual sale of work in St Fintan’s Community Hall on Sunday May 4 at 12noon - 4pm. The usual side stalls will be there and the usual big draw will take place. It is hoped that you will give your usual support.
OSSORY CYCLING CLUB
On Sunday May 4 our 100k and 50K Tours will take place. Starting at the local GAA club house at 10am and 11am. Entry fee €25 both events, €20 with cycling Ireland licence.
The next meeting of the book club will take place on Thursday May 1, 6.15pm- 7.15pm. We will be discussing White Tiger by Aravind Adiga copies are available from the library and new members are always welcome.
A Good Yarn Knitting Club meets in the library every Friday morning 10.30 - 12.30pm. Why not join us for a cuppa, good company gauranteed.
Easter holiday storytelling session with Simone from Storygate. Wednesday April 23 2.30-3.30pm. Suitable for children of all ages. This event is free but booking is essential, phone Aoife on 057 8756378 or drop into the library.

The Aware Support Group for people experiencing depression, anxiety, stress and other mood related conditions meets every Tuesday at 7.30pm in St Peter and Pauls Parish Centre, Portlaoise.
