Stradbally Family Fair and National Hound Show is delighted to announce that the annual show will return to the wonderful environs of Stradbally Hall by kind permission of the Cosby Family, Stradbally on Sunday, July 6 next. The hound show has attracted large numbers and over the last few years it has been extended to include even more by offering a wide variety of exhibitions and entertainment.
STEAM RALLY PHOTO EXHIBITION
This year we celebrate our 50th steam rally. The rally committee are holding a photo exhibition on the August weekend in the Arthouse. We are appealing to the local people who may have photos of steam engines, steam trains, people taken at the rally over the years or any memorabilia i.e. Programmes, tickets, etc from past rallies to display them in the exhibition. WALKING ON THE ROCK OF DUNAMAISE
As part of the Laois Walking Festival this year a walk will be held on the Rock of Dunamaise and will take place on Sunday, July 12 at 7.30pm and will take two hours. This a grade B 9km walk. The meeting point for the walk is the Rock of Dunamaise car park and all are welcome to come along on the day.
Also Oakvale Woods on Sunday, July 13 on the Cobblers Walk. Meet at the woods 7.30pm. 8km two hour grade B walk.
NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH CHURCH GATE COLLECTION
A church gate collection for the Neighbourhood Watch will be taken up at all masses in Stradbally on the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, July 12 and 13. Please support.

STRADBALLY JUVENILE ANGLING CLUB
A day’s outing for juveniles and members will be held on Saturday, July 5 at the Lake from 12 noon onwards. Refreshments will be served.
Deepest sympathy is extended to Paul Delaney, Ballymanus, Stradbally on the death of his mother Terrie (Teresa) Delaney, who was interred in Portlaoise on Thursday last.
MISSIONERY SISTERS OF ST PETER CLAVER
The Missionery Sisters of St Peter Claver will be here next weekend, Saturday and Sunday, July 5 and 6 in the Church of the Sacred Heart and will speak at all masses about their work for the missions. Your spiritual and financial assistance will be greatly appreciated. There will be a collection to help the sisters in their work.
