Attanagh Residents’ Association
Many thanks to all those to came to the Wheel Inn on Sunday, June 22 to join in the celebrations of forty years of Attanagh Residents’ Association. It proved to be a great opportunity to gather together young and old from not just Attanagh but also the wider community.
We would especially like to thank the following - Frank Brennan for providing us with the venue and his wonderful staff who looked after everyone so well; Katherine Hyland and her company of musicians who ensured a lively atmosphere for all; Katrina Sheeran who brought along her excellent dancers who ranged from the very small to the very tall and exhibited their talents to everyone’s delight; Ger Carroll who took on the last minute mammoth task of preparing all the photographs on show and also setting more up on the large screen; John Bergin DJ who kept things rocking for the late birds; two wonderful Attanagh ladies Alison Dowling and Sue Ruttle for preparing luxurious buns and sandwiches which were snapped up which has to be a testament to their culinary skills; Attanagh Group Water Scheme for their generous support and Kathleen O’Keeffe and Connie Phelan for providing raffle prizes. A special thanks to Padraig Phelan who designed and made a beautiful wooden platter which was presented by Tony Dooley, Vice-Chairman to Dermot Dorgan for all his work over the years.
