Plans to develop of the square in Durrow are on in display in the village’s library until the end of February.

Durrow Development Forum have said that they are happy to look at any suggestions and ideas in relation to the proposed development. This project has been ongoing over the past number of years, and after public consultation, the plans were revised last year.

Chairperson of Durrow Development Forum, Evelyn Clancy told the Leinster Express that this is part of the planning process and that the plans will be agreed after the end of February when all ideas have been submitted.

“We hope to try and reach a compromise that suits everybody. It is such a lovely little village and it would be brilliant to make the most of the square,” he said.

As usual the Durrow Development Forum are busy organising a number of fundraisers and events for the village this year, and details of all the events will be announced in the coming weeks.

To view the plans, the library in Durrow is open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm, on Fridays from 10.30am-12.30pm and on Saturdays from 11am-1pm.
