‘Puc Around Laois’ camogie event will take place in Castletown GAA grounds on Saturday April 28 from 11am – 1pm. This fun day is taking place in all clubs around Laois and its aim is encourage girls from the age of 6 – 16 to get involved in camogie. This event is open to any girl who wishes to try out our game and bring along your friends and family. There will be an array of activities on the day displaying camogie skills, special guest, blitzes, fun games and family refreshments. Please make an effort to attend this event and support camogie in our club.


Castletown foroige attended the annual foroige sports day in Clonasee last Saturday. Congratulations to Shane Cuddy, Dylan Conroy, Laura Phelan, Katie Redden and Nial Phelan who were runners up in the soccer competition and well done to Dylan Conroy who came third in the long puck. Congratulations to The Inbetweeners group of Rebecca Poole, Melissa Bergin, Claire Kirwan, Stephen Cunningham, James Treacy and Nathan O’Brien who came first in the basketball tournament, and also to James Tobin who came first in the long puck competition and Ryan Mullaney who came second.


Sympathy is extended to the Culleton family, Crannagh and Chrissie Delaney Gash Court (daughter) on the death last week of Cornelius (Con) Culleton. His remains were removed from his residence to Camross Church on Sunday evening. Following requiem mass on Monday in Camross his remains were interred in the adjoining cemetery. RIP
