St Fintan’s Gaels are being presented with four new sets of jerseys on Saturday night April 28 in Eamon A’ Chnoic, Raheen at 10pm. A set of jerseys will be presented for under 8s, 10s, 12s and 14s and the committee wish to thank all the sponsors for their generous donations. All club members and parents are invited to come along. Music on the night by the ever popular High Nellies.


Raheen ICA held their agm on April 10. Laois information officer Mary Ging was in attendance. The following officers were elected for the coming year: president Mary Delaney, vice president Norah Allen, secretary Anne Sinnott, treasurer Marie Murphy, PRO Annette Doogue, arts and crafts Doreen Mulhall. Votes of sympathy were passed with all families who suffered bereavements during the past year. Five members attended the recent dinner dance, which was held in the Gandon Inn. Two members are to attend the next Laois federation meeting.

Puck around Laois and family fun day will take place on Saturday April 28 in Colt GAA grounds commencing at 11am. Events include Camross Comhaltas, Raheen Vintage, Lynam School of Dancing, bric-a- brac, cake stall and many more. Under 8 & 10 camogie go games and under 8 & 10 hurling go games. Also coaching on the day by county camogie and hurling players. Other activities include fun races, face painting, shoot the hoop, colouring competition and many other fun activites for the kids. Tug of war competition for ladies and gents. Admission free so come along and enjoy the day.
