Inter town snooker tournament starting soon in the CYMS, this is a snooker tournament consisting of a two man team, €20 entry fee per team. OSSORY CYCLING CLUB
The AGM will take place on Thursday November 20, in O R’eilly’s lounge at 8.30pm. Turbo training on Wednesday nights at 8pm in Community centre all welcome.
There was no winner in this week’s Jackpot which was €6,400. The numbers drawn were 3, 4, 8, 27. The 10 winners of €15 was Mick Hickey, John Murray, John Delaney, Mary Kelly, John Cahill Jnr, Mairead Gilmartin, P. Kavanagh, Elizabeth Hickey, Carmel Bowe, Brendan Fitzpatrick. Next week’s Jackpot will be €6,550. Tickets can be purchased in all shops or from any local promoter.
TUG OF WAR
Errill National School Parent’s Coucil are arranging a “Tug of War” competition on Sunday November 30, at 2pm in Errill Village. We would be grateful if you can support this event by arranging your own team, (Team of 6-€60) or join us on the day for all the fun. Theere will be refreshments and a raffle afterwards in Dowlings All are Welcome. The Parent’s Council have also arranged a Bag2School collection. We will be collecting adult and children’s clothes, shoes, (tied together please), hats, belts, bags and teddies. The clothes have to be of good quality for reuse in Africa. Our school funds will receive a fantastic 50c a kilo which will be a great boost to our fundraising. The LauraLynn House will also receive an additional 10% from Bag2School on our behalf. Please return your bag (or bags) to us at St Bernadette’s Hall between 9am and 12 noon on Tuesday, December 2 and help us have a really good collection
The Annual Auction of Rathdowey/Errill GAA will take place on Sunday November 23, in St. Bernadette’s Hall, Errill. This annual event has always been a huge success for the club with items from firewood to keep you warm during the winter to sports equipment to keep you going during the summer. On the day there will be a cake sale with alot of delicious home baking. Our Wheel Of Fortune has proven to be very popular for young and old. Santa will be arriving in style at 1pm and the Auction will follow very shortly after that. Our senior hurlers will also make an appearance if any families would like to have their picture taken with BOB O’ Keeffe. Tea and Coffee will be on the go all day to keep you warm.
