Condolences to the family of the late Charles Joseph (Charlie) Cosgrove, London, formerly Barrow House, Monasterevin and Emo, Laois who died tragically on October 31. Dearly loved son of James and June, brother of Mark, David, Harry, Natasha and Maxie, stepson of Abby, beloved by extended family, neigbhours, and friends. Reposed at Barrow House, Monasterevin. Removal to Church of Saints Peter & Paul, Monasterevin for Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in St Evin’s Cemetery, Monasterevin.

Birdwatch Ireland (BWI) Laois Branch - Morning at Emo Court, Sunday November 30, 9am (meet in car park). Join BWI for a morning observing the feathered residents of Emo Court and surrounding Parkland.

Kerry Legend in Emo

Moving In The Right Direction - Forum for the Future Emo GAA takes place on Thursday December 4 from 7pm in the Community Centre in Emo. Guest speakers on the night include John Lonergan, Author & Public Speaker, Dara O’Shea, Kerry Footballer, All Ireland Medal Winner & GAA All Star, and Pat Ryan - International Boxing Coach and Emo GAA Trainer. The Forum is open to all members of the Emo Community 16 years+. Admission is free.

Craft Fair

The Emo Arts and Craft fair takes place in Emo Community Centre on Sunday, November 23 from 11.30am-5pm. Lots of different gifts. Free entry and parking. Raffle also.

Emo Rath Athletics

Emo Rath athletics club wish to develop their Athletic Club and is calling on all adults who are running alone to come allong and join the club. Anyone who wants to get fit is also welcome. To get involved come along to Emo Hall on Wednesday, November 19 at 7pm
