The AGM of Clonaslee College Parents Association was held on Tuesday November 11 in the school. New committee: Chairperson Pat Carroll, Vice Chairperson Fionnuala Horan, Secretary Pauline Fitzgerald, Assistant Secretary Mary Conroy, Treasurer Sarah Bennett, Assistant Treasurer Pauline Fitzgerald. Special thanks to parents who helped out with our fundraising events last year, and those who helped the debs committee.

COMMUNITY ALERT

KNIT AND CHAT

It’s not too late to join the knit and chat group on Mondays in the Heritage Centre from 10:30 am – 12 noon. Bring a ball of wool and pair of knitting needles. Contact Dolores 087-414-8093 for information.

CHURCH GATE COLLECTION

Clonaslee College Parents Association Annual Collection will be held in Rosenallis on November 29/30 and in Clonaslee on December 6/7 and once again we would appreciate your support.

SOCIAL SERVICES CHRISTMAS DINNER

The annual Christmas dinner for the elderly is on Sunday December 7 at 1 pm in the Community Centre. Music by Rock on Paddy. Invitations are on the way. If we have omitted

HOLY CROSS ABBEY

Trip on December 4, bus leaving Clonaslee at 5:45 pm, collecting in Rosenallis and Mountmellick. €15 return. Tea and sandwiches €5 per person. Our last two visits were lovely as they were devotion nights to Padre Pio. If interested phone 087-212-2766.

CLONASLEE CCE

Musical instruments; five beginner button accordions and one fiddle available to rent for the year. This gives children a chance to see if they like the instrument before they purchase. Classes on Thursdays from 4:15pm, beginners from 6pm in the Community Centre. Call 085-285-1772.

DANCE LESSONS

Lessons in social dancing, waltz, quickstep, foxtrot, jive and slosh commencing Tuesday November 18 and each Tuesday from 8-9:30 pm at An Sean Chistin, Irey, Ballyfin. Call Maureen 087-648-2038.

SOCIAL SERVICES

Bingo is on Wednesdays from 2 pm to 4 pm in the Heritage Centre. Please come along and have a cuppa and chat. We welcome everyone. It’s a nice way to get out of the house for a couple of hours.

BABY PARENT AND TODDLER GROUP

We meet every Tuesday morning from 9:30 am to 11:30 am during the school term in the Community Centre. All welcome. For more information contact Elaine on 087-236-2723.
