There was no jackpot winner on the last draw on 19th January. There were no match 3 winner so five tickets were drawn and receive €20 each. They were Tynan children, c/o Martin Tynan, Tommy Lawlor, c/o O’Malley’s, Richard Gorman, Castlefleming, Joan Stanley, Errill and Ann Kavanagh, Glosha. The numbers drawn were 4 - 8 - 24 and 25. The jackpot on 19th January will be €3350. Tickets for draw are available in Post Office, Dowling’s Bar, Ray’s Bar and from local promoters.

RATHDOWNEY/ERRILL GAA

The Senior club Table Quiz in O’Malley’s Bar in Rathdowney on Saturday, January 30 at 9pm. Table of 4 for €40. Support appreciated.

The Juvenile club will hold their registration night on Friday, February 13 in Rathdowney club rooms. Registration will take place between 7.30-9.00pm. Membership for the year is €20 per player and €40 per family. All new and existing members are encourage to attend this night. Refreshments will be served and all silverware that was won during the year will also be on show.

THE LATE WILLIAM (BILLY) DELANEY

The death occurred of William (Billy) Delaney, Barney, Errill, on January 17, in his 98th year at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Mountmellick. Deeply regretted by his sister Kate (Dowling), his brother Mick, extended family and friends. He reposed at O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Rathdowney. Following funeral prayers on Monday evening his remains were removed to the Church of the Holy Trinity, Rathdowney. Burial took place in Rathdowney local cemetery. May he rest in peace.
