ST FIACC’S HOUSE

Training for team events has started on Fridays in St Fiacc’s Hall and costs €1 per child.

SACRED HEART HOSPITAL REMEMBRANCE MASS

The friends of the Sacred Heart Hospital, along with the residents, matron and staff are hosting a remembrance mass on Friday 23 November at 7pm in the Sacred Heart Hospital, in memory of all who died while in our loving care and those who died in service during the last two years. All welcome and refreshments will be served afterwards.

Confirmation programme for Killeshin takes place on Sunday 25 November.

GRAIGUECULLEN WOMEN’S GROUP

Graiguecullen Women’s Group would like to thank everyone who supported their recent coffee morning and cake sale in the Lazy River Café, everyone who baked cakes or donated prizes for raffle or who dropped in for a cuppa that morning. Total amount raised €1,800 for Cancer Awareness.

BEREAVEMENT MASS

The annual mass to remember all our parishioners who died during the past year or family members who died during the past year will be celebrated on Friday 30 November at 7.30pm in St Clare’s.

FAMILY MASS

A special family mass will be celebrated in St Clare’s on the first Sunday of each month at 11.30am.

OISÍN HOUSE

Stressed or anxious due to bullying, illness, bereavement, loss of companion or whatever the reason. A talk will be given in Oisín House on Wednesday 21 November at 7.30. Speaker will be Maureen Ryan. All welcome, tea and chat.

RAINBOWS PEER SUPPORT PROGRAMME

Anyone interested in starting the Rainbows Programme beginning in November in Graiguecullen Parish Centre please complete application form and return immediately to the parish office. Forms are available at the back of the church or in the parish centre.

KILLESHIN HALL

CYSTIC FIBROSIS

If you would like quirky stocking filler this Christmas and also help Cystic Fibrosis then you might consider a newly launched book, ‘A Neutron Walks Into A Bar’. One of the compilers of this book is from Arles parish, Maria Delaney (Daly), Shrule.

THURSDAY MORNING CLUB

Thursday Morning club has resumed after 10am mass in St Clare’s. Parishioners are invited into the parish centre after mass for a cuppa and a chat.

The numbers drawn in the recent lotto were 11, 15, 26 and 30 and there was no jackpot winner. TALK IT OVER

Suicide bereavement support service is holding an open day on Thursday next November 22 from 12 noon to 5pm at their premises at Castlehill House Castlehill, Carlow and extends an invitation to everyone to view their premises. They are also launching their walk in service which is currently running on Wednesdays 10am to 12 noon. Talk It Over is a free and confidential service by fully trained listeners on a one to one and group basis. FIACC’S FOLK

The fourth edition of our parish annual is due to be published in early December.

SUNDAY READINGS

Anyone who would like to reflect on the Sunday readings is invited to a half hour meeting each Wednesday at 7.30pm in the parish centre. A special invitation to all who will be reading the Word of God at mass on Sunday. This is an opportunity for people to enhance their participation in their celebration of mass each Sunday.

ÉIST CANCER SUPPORT CENTRE

The ladies from RTE Boot camp Imelda, Josephine and Breda, will be down in the Lord Bagnal, Leighlinbrige on Thursday 22 November to host a charity boot camp in conjunction with Éist cancer support group. 

Celebrities taking part are former Carlow Rose Jessica Adamson, Eric Driver from Macra, ploughman extraordinaire Eamon Tracey, celebrity chef Edward Hayden and this year’s Rose Marian Hynes. Members of the Beechtree Players Jimmy Farrell, George Donoghue and Tom Doyle will perform a sketch called ‘The Interview’, plus other entertainers. Raffle on the night for two return tickets to London plus numerous other prizes. A great fun night is guaranteed.
