SINGING AND MUSIC
Singing classes are on Saturdays and continue weekly in the Parochial Hall cost €4 per class all welcome. Music classes are on every Thursday in the Community Centre 6 to 8 pm for beginners and advanced. Singing circle is on the first Friday of every month in the Parochial Hall from 8 to 10 pm. If there is anyone wishing to take part in the Laois Fleadh Cheoil membership is now due €6 per child, €12 for adult and €20 for family. New programme starting on Wednesday January 30 at 8 pm in the Heritage Centre. All new members welcome. Pay each night.

There will be a free collection by WEEE Ireland of electrical items on Tuesday, February 12 at the Clonaslee Community Centre car park, 9am-12pm. Supported by Laois County Council, this allows people to get rid of any household electrical equipment and batteries in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.

Best of luck to Clonaslee’s Tom Conroy who sings in the final of the Song for Simon competition in Athlone on Saturday February 2 in the Sheraton Hotel Athlone. Tom will be singing ‘My Sweet Sweet Angel’ on the night. Tom has worked as the Resident Pianist in the Tullamore Court Hotel since 2007, and is Pianist with the Portlaoise Gospel Choir and the Tipperary Gospel Choir.
