Laois/Offaly Friesian Breeders are hosting an open evening on Kevin Flynn’s Clonaslee farm on Thursday June 20 at 7:30pm. Stock judging by Padraig Murphy, followed by refreshments. All welcome.

cemetery masses

Thanks to all who participated in the cemetery mass on Friday May 31. The collection for the upkeep of the cemetery was €1,835.25. Thanks to the collectors.

Corrigeen Cemetery Mass is on Friday June 28 at 8 pm and Kilmanman Cemetery is on Friday July 5 at 8 pm.

CLODIAGH PLAYERS

Potential cast members for the new production The Cripple of Inishmaan are now reading scripts and studying parts. A workshop will be held on July 7 after which a cast will be chosen. Not too late to join!

ecumenical prayer

Ceremony of prayer by Church of Ireland and the Barrow Rise pastoral group on Sunday June 23, assembling in Killeigh village green at 7 pm. An introduction to historical religious sites in Rosenallis, Mountmellick, Clonaslee and Killeigh, with prayer and reflection.

TELEVISED MASS

RTE will record a live mass on Sunday July 21 at 11 am from St Manman’s Church. Fr O’Reilly is hoping for a large turnout.

Choir Practice is on Sundays at 6:30 pm in the church. A large group is needed to sing for the televised mass, male singers in particular.

TIDY TOWNS

Work evenings Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm from Heritage Centre. Judging for Inter-community litter challenge continues. Please put cigarette butts in the bins outside all premises.
