Laois Community Forum wish to celebrate the major contribution made by community groups, voluntary organisations in your area. You can nominate an individual for the Unsung Hero Award for outstanding contribution by one person to community, voluntary life in your local area and, or the wider community in Laois. Or nominations can be made in the following categories: Art, Culture and Heritage; Children and Youth in Fun and Education; Environment; Sport and Leisure; Community Services and Support. MONSTER PARISH BINGO
Monster Parish Bingo on this Tuesday 05 November at 8.30pm in Graiguecullen Hall. Great money to be won on the night such as all line checks €50, double lines €60 and full houses from €150 to €200. St Fiacc’s House Annual Draw will take place on Monday 09 December at 9pm. Cards are available at St Fiacc’s House and new promoters are welcome. The annual draw and the Flag Day are their main fundraising events and your support is very much appreciated.

St Clare’s Children’s Choir practice on Monday nights from 4.30pm to 5.30pm in Parish Centre, please note change of time. Choir is open to all primary school children and First year in secondary school.
Parish Youth Choir practice each from 12.45pm to 2pm. The choir is open to all secondary school students and young adults. Musicians are also very welcome.
CHILDREN’S LITURGY OF THE WORD
The Sunday school after the 11.30am Mass in St Clare’s. Invited are all children aged between Four years and First class to take part. The aim is to introduce the children to the Mass by taking part in activities appropriate to their age. These activities will take place in the parish centre. The children will leave at the start of Mass and will be supervised by adults and students from our second level schools. The children will return to Mass at the ‘Our Father’.

YOUTH MINISTRY SPACE
Thanks to all twenty young people who attended the Halloween Break Youth Retreat. A great day was had by all. The first night of the training course for young Eucharistic Ministers will take place on Thursday 07 November from 4.30 to 5.30pm in the Parish Centre.
Pope John Paul II Award, can all new participants please return forms and registration fee of €10 to Parish Centre as soon as possible please. Can all those finishing their award please hand up their reflection and record card to Cathriona by Friday 08 November. Sunday School Group 5 on Sunday 10 November.
THURSDAY MORNING CLUB
Thursday Morning Club has resumed after 10am Mass in St Clare’s. Parishioners are invited into the Parish centre after Mass for a cuppa and a chat.
NOVEMBER DEAD LIST
The names of the faithful departed who parishioners would like remembered and prayed for during November can be handed into the Parish office or placed in the November Sacred Space. A sheet and envelope are provided in the box of church envelopes and all loved ones who have died will be remember at all our Masses during November.
There was no Jackpot winner in the recent draw. The numbers drawn were 01, 12, 24 and 29, no Jackpot winner. Next Jackpot €10,000, Reserve €10,000. There were two Match 3 Winners of €100 each; Lennon Byrne c/o Eric Ryan and Frank Hayden c/o Conor Hayden.
