Clonaslee Basketball Club is holding a registration night for the new season on Friday August 15 from 7-8 pm in the community centre. Under 8 and 10 €20, under 12 and upwards €40, adults €85. A minimum €10 deposit will be required on the night. There is a meeting at 7.30pm on August 15 in the community centre, the committee ask that parents attend as their support is vital to the success of the club. New members welcome.
The Clonaslee Show is on September 7 this year. Schedules have been posted out to those who entered in previous years. Find schedules, including all the classes in the show, in all the local shops. Closing date for entries is August 27.

A MUSICAL STORY IN MOUNT ST ANNE’S
‘Chris’s Journey’, composed and performed by singer and pianist Tom Conroy, will be performed in Mount St Anne’s Retreat Centre, Killenard, on Friday, August 22 at 8 pm. Tickets €10 (€5 concession) on the door. Featuring original compositions as well as popular cover songs, the show is about a young boy in Ireland during the 1960s who emigrates to Australia.

Visiting Portumna Castle then Clonmacnoise for refreshments, then Athlone Castle followed by a Viking tour on the Shannon. OUR LADY’S ISLAND
