St Aengus juvenile soccer final registration night this Wednesday, August 13 in St Fintan’s Hall from 8 to 9.30pm. It is important that any players interested in playing soccer with our club register now as we are organising teams for the coming season. Cost is €30 per player or €50 for a family.

The lotto jackpot worth €4400 was not won. Next jackpot is worth €4600 in Kirwans. The club would like to extend to our senior selector PJ Cuddy, his mother Teresa and sisters Geraldine, Eilish, Olive, Siobhain, Roisin and the Cuddy family Castletown, our sincere sympathy on the death of their father Jimmy Cuddy. To tie in with the reading challenge we will be hosting a mythical creatures drawing workshop on Tuesday August 5 11am - 12am. The workshop is suitable for girls and boys aged between 8-12 years old. Condolences to the family of the late Eileen (Nell) Bergin (née Lynch) of Patrick Street, Mountrath, Castletown, and Coolea, Cork who died on August 2. Wife of the late Fintan, deeply regretted by sons Micheal, Seamus, Fintan and Sean, sisters Abbey and Nonie, Mairead, brother Connie, extended family, relatives and friends. Removal to St Fintan’s Church, Mountrath, for requiem mass followed by burial in St Fintan’s Cemetery Mountrath.
