Wedding bells rang out in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Stradbally on Friday, October 10, 2014, on the occasion of the marriage between Ms Mary-Clare Dunne, eldest daughter of Dick and Marion, Court Square, Stradbally and Shaun McCole, son of Thomas McCole, and the late Philomena McCole, Kentucky, Ardra, Co Donegal. The nuptial mass was performed by Rev. Fr Dan Dunne, uncle of the bride, assisted by Monsignor Sherry and the vocalist was Siobhan McKenna.
The bride was attended to by her sister Emma as (chief bridesmaid), assisted by Sheila Bergin and Sharon Carty. Junior bridesmaids were Sorcha Bergin, Zaura Blake and Jillian Crowley, while the flowergirls were Sophia Dunne, Alexandra Crowley and Lucy Crowley. Ushers on the day were Josh Long and Aaron McHugh. The bestman was Aidan McHugh and the groomsman was Edward McCole. The reception for 280 guests was held in the Langton House Hotel, Kilkenny.
THE LATE CARMEL DILLON (NEE KINSELLA)
The death occurred on Thursday, October 16 of Carmel Dillon, 6 Woodview, Stradbally, Co. Laois) (peacefully), surrounded by her loving family, at the Midland Regional Hospital, Tullamore - beloved wife of Seamus, loving mother of David and Louise, daughter-in-law Siobhan and Louise’s partner Cathal and sister of the late Michael; sadly missed by her sisters June, Mary and Margaret, brother Pat, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, neighbours and her many friends.
Her remains were reposing at her son David and Siobhan’s house, Rathmore, Stradbally until removal on Saturday last to The Church of the Sacred Heart, Stradbally, and following 12 noon requiem Mass her remains were interred in Oakvale Cemetery.
