Ballyroan ICA meetings resume on Tuesday September 4 at 8pm in the Sue Ryder House. Final arrangements to be made for the annual tour which takes place to the Clanree Hotel in Donegal from September 7 to 10. All those travelling must pay the balance of their money by September 4. Hostessess on the night are Kathleen Scully and Maureen Brennan.


Juvenile and Adult training resumes next Tues eve the 4th in the Ballyroan Gaa field at 7:30. New members are always welcome. Mums and dads are invited to come down and get fit with their kids. Everyone can take it at their own pace and there is also structured training. There is a €1 charge or €2 for families.

Congratulations to Shaun Fitzpatrick who represented our area in Community games at the U10 200 metres finals in Athlone at the weekend. It was a great achievement to qualify from Laois and he represented the club well.


Re-hab held a church gate collection in Ballyroan on Sun 17-7-12 and a big thank you to all who supported this worthy cause, the amount collected on the day was 191.10 euro. Your support is greatly appreciated.


Well done to the Ballyroan U14 girls who won the B Championship. They defeated Borris in Ossory in the final. Congratulations to the U12 girls team who defeated Portlaoise in the U12 A League. Well done to the U8’s who took part in the Lulu Carroll blitz in Timahoe on Sunday. Thanks to Timahoe for hosting of the stars of the future. Hard Luck to the Intermediates who were defeated by Crettyard in a tough and fiercely contested match. Ballyroan play Graiguecullen again for a place in the County final. See Express sport for more.
