Late maura Loughlin
Condolences to the family of the late Maura Loughlin (nee White) of Moore Street, Rathdowney who passed away on October 28, peacefully at the Regional Hospital, Portlaoise. Maura, who is predeceased by her husband Jack, is deeply regretted by her loving family Elenor, Mary, Annette and Breda, Kieran, Noel, Brendan and John, extended family relatives and friends. Reposed at her residence before removal to the Church of the Holy Trinity, Rathdowney for Funeral Mass followed by Burial in Bealady Cemetery.
PARENT and TODDLER
The group meet every Friday morning in the Marion Centre (beside the RC Church) from 10am to 12pm. All welcome parents and minders with children from new born to pre-school. No joining fee - €3 per morning.
A great Bingo is held every Tuesday Night at 8.30 in the Rathdowney Community Centre. Your support would be greatly appreciated this Bingo is run by the Community Centre Group.
The club meet every Monday from 2pm to 4.30pm in the communal centre on Cuan Bhride. They do wonderful work and are like one big family. Our club is always anxious to get new members to join. So come along to us any Monday.
THE PLAYGROUND GROUP
There is Tennis coaching every Saturday on the MUGA in the Playground (or in the community centre on wet days) ages five, six and seven at 2pm to 3pm, ages eight, nine and ten at 3-4pm and ages 11+ at 4-5pm cost €2 per week. Tennis rackets provided. The next six week sessions will be starting soon to book a place phone Laura 087 9423833.
Social dance classes will resume in St Kieran’s Hall, Johnstown on Wednesday October 3, at 8pm. If you will to dance the old time waltz, quick step, fox trot, jive etc come along, you don’t need a partner for further information phone 086 8825200.

ST BRIGIDS CAMOGIE CLUB
The club are holding a fashion show in conjunction with Fortunes, in the Community Centre, Rathdowney Friday 16, November. Tickets are available from any committee member of at Fortune’s.
ST FERGAL’S 75TH
This year St Fergal’s College celebrates 75 years of educating four generations of students from Rathdowney and the surrounding area. At the end of November past pupils and staff will meet to mark the great occasion and honour those who contributed so much to the community over the past 75years. The organising committee are looking for any memorabilia which people might have to display on the night. Photos will be scanned and returned immediately, or can be emailed to email@example.com. All items contributed will be very much appreciated.
The 2012 review is currently being compiled and anyone wishing to contribute anything of interest is invited to submit these items. Such items might include wedding photos, obituaries, first communion, sporting achievements, family profiles, historical items, debs, etc. Please send items or call to Betty O’Brien, Maureen Guilfoyle or Niall O’Doherty as soon as possible.
RATHDOWNEY COMMUNITY CENTRE
Set dancing lessons for anyone over 8 years old are being held in the community centre, every Wednesday evening 7-8pm. Commencing on November 7, dance teacher Mick Doyle.

NEW WALKING JOGGING CLUB
Fif4life has started up every Monday 7pm-8pm. Meeting in the square at 7pm. Come along any week. There will be several groups for walkers, walker/joggers, joggers all level of fitness welcome.
