Give Blood

Help ensure essential blood supplies are always available by giving blood regularly. Your can donate on Thursday October 24 at Scoil Bhride National School, Rathdowney from 4.30pm to 8pm.

Clough ICA

The monthly meeting of Clough ICA was held on Thursday October 10. There was a good attendance. Get well wishes were extended to Lilly Sheeran Borris in Ossory Guild. A vote of sympathy was passed with the following: McEvoy family, Stanley family, Ahearne family, Martyn family on their recent sad bereavements. Report on the federation meeting in Cullohill and the Ploughing Championships was given. Mr Sean O Gorman from Laois Services for elderly People gave details of the services they provides such as minor household repairs painting cleaning gutters grass cutting etc.

Competition winners Maureen Dobbyn, Kitty Hogan, Mary Dunne. Raffle winners Mary Hennessy, Mary Dunne, Noreen Byrne, Phil Nolan. Competition for November autumn foliage.

Mass for deceased members of the guild will be celebrated at 11am mass in Clough Church on November 10. Next meeting on November 14.

Lotto

Tidy Town lotto jackpot of €4000 was not won, next week will be €4200, thanks to all who support the lotto.

Ballacolla FC

A fundraiser will take place on Sunday October 27 in Hayes Bar in aid of Ballacolla FC. Music, finger food and raffle. Fancy dress optional.
