The St Patrick’s Day parade starts at 2pm, assemble at 1.30, going from Harbour Street past the viewing stand in O’Connell Square to O’Moore Street. The theme is ‘water’. There will be a craft fair from 1pm to 5pm in the square, with bouncy castles, the bumble bus, facepainting and a clown, live music from DJ Danny, comhaltas, dancing and local bands. A flyover is planned by members of the Limetree airfield. Prizes for best float, best junior float and best window display. Contact Gerry Mulvaney in The Druid for more. Musicians played for the launch of the drama festival and will play in the foyer during the festival one or two nights. Also some will be playing and singing at Mass on St Patrick’s Day. Our annual concert will be a variety show on Saturday April 5, tickets available at class.
John Drumm, a local artist is exhibiting ‘Influences’ a series of portraits featuring pen and ink drawings from diary entries in the library for the month of March.
