PARISH MISSION
A mission given by St Patrick’s Community will be on this Monday May 19 to Friday May 23 in St Manman’s Church. Mass will be Monday to Thursday at 10 am and evening sessions Monday to Friday at 8 pm. John Pridemore ex-gangster and international bestselling author of ‘From Gangland to Promised Land’ will be speaking on Monday night. It is hoped that as many people as possible will attend one or all the nights. Bishop Nulty will be here on Monday to join us for the first night of the mission.
HERITAGE CENTRE
New opening hours for the Heritage Centre starting from Monday May 19 are as follows: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm and closed on Friday.
The library will be open during those hours.
TIDY TOWNS
Work evenings on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting at the Heritage Centre at 6 pm each week so if anyone has an hour to spare please come along. There is a lot to be done before June 1 when judging starts. National entry has been completed and sent in, good luck to Clonaslee.
THANKS
Thanks to Fr Tommy O’Reilly for his kind donation of €2,770 from the sale of his book ‘Talking Memories’ to the Clonaslee Community Development Association. This book is still available for €10 in the Heritage Centre, Hogan’s Shop, Flynn’s Post Office, Ger Kelly Butchers and Clonaslee Pharmacy.
KNOCK
Clonaslee Parish will be joining the Kildare and Leighlin Pilgrimage to Knock on Sunday June 1. A 17 seater bus will leave the Post Office at 8:30 am. To book your seat phone Maura on 057-864-8065 or 087-212-2766. Fare is €15 per person.
COMMUNITY ALERT
There have been recent break in’s and other incidents so please be vigilant and don’t entertain strangers. Phone the number on the Community Alert signs if you are worried about anything or see any suspicious. Text alert is up and running, you can still sign up by contacting chairperson Matt Barrett. Be vigilant and check on your elderly neighbours.

Festival of the Mountain
The Festival of the Mountain is on June 29 at 1.30pm. Anyone interested in volunteering on the day is welcome along to the next committee meeting on June 5 at 9pm in Rosenallis. New ideas for the festival are welcome.
