After the success of the previous two years the Ballinakill Vintage and Classic Owners Club are hosting an Indoor Motor Show again in Portlaoise on the October bank holiday.

The event is free on the day and the club is holding a charity collection during the show which is being overseen by the Portlaoise Lion’s Club.

Organisations chosen for 2014 are the Laois Friends of Midlands Simon and the Portlaoise branch of Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind, both worthy causes in need of funding, and volunteers from these groups will attend on the day to inform visitors on there ongoing work in Laois and surrounding areas.

This very popular classic and vintage car show will be held on the Sunday of that weekend between 11am and 5pm and the well lit and spacious venue provided by Laois Shopping Centre attracts visitors and exhibitors from all over Ireland as it is centrally located in the county, and easily accessible from most corners of Ireland, on what is probably the last large show of the year for this growing pastime. Entertainment will run throughout the day and a display of very rare Rolls Royce vintage cars being the main feature this time round with the Titanic Silver Ghost and the legendary Moon Car on display along with many other rare vehicles from the past century and beyond.

The Ballinakill Vintage and Classic Owners Club would again like to thank the Laois Shopping Centre management for their co-operation in hosting this event and providing such an excellent exhibition space which can hold up to 450 cars.
