Fashion Show

Camross Community will hold a Fashion Show Extravaganza on Thursday the March 12 in the Community Hall. The show will commence at 8pm with a cheese and wine reception. Tickets are now on sale at a cost of €10. Proceeds will be in aid of Church heating and Floor refurbishment. This show promises to be as entertaining as always with many new shops participating on the night. There will be lots of good prizes and craic. We look forward to your support.

Parish social

The March Parish social in the Parish centre takes place on March 7 with music provided by Liam Mannering commencing at 9pm,admission including supper is €8.

GAA

The draw for the first round of the Laois GAA championships will take place in the Laois shopping centre on Thursday, March 5 and Camross GAA club wish to extend their grateful appreciation to all who so generously supported their Auction and sale of produce on Sunday week. A special word of thanks to the Auctioneer Mattie Collier and also to the ladies of the Parish who supplied wonderful baking for the sale.

Another reminder about the County Board tickets, which are on sale from any member of the committee and the first draw, will take place on Friday March the sixth.

Kyle GAA

Kyle GAA Club are holding their annual sale of farm produce and auction of Timber and firewood at the GAA grounds on Sunday next March 1st commencing at two o’clock and this year all purchasers of firewood will be entered in a draw for another load of fuel.

Lenten Stations

Stations of the Cross will take place every Monday evening for Lent in St Fergals Church Camross and will commence in St Aiden’s Church Killenure on tomorrow Wednesday February 25th at 9.30am and will continue for the remainder of Lent.
