The boys hurling team had a comfortable win over Mountrath in Roinn 2 of the Cumann na mBunscol. Third and fourth classes had a great day at the Primary Schools Basketball Blitz in Portlaoise. For Active schools Week last week, children from Scoil Bhríde participated in swimming, hiking, the ‘run a mile’ challenge, dancing and co-operative games.

Clonaslee Comhaltas now have two music teachers on Thursdays in the Community Centre. Karen McCormack teaches button accordion, flute, tin whistle, keyboard and fiddle from 4:15-8 pm. Maria Hearnett teaches beginners from 6-8 pm. Instruments being taught are tin whistle, banjo, mandolin, concertina, fiddle and button accordion.
