RAHEEN VINTAGE CLUB
Congratulations to Paddy Dunne, Martin Sinnott and Amy Sinnott who won first prize for best float in the vintage category at this year’s St Patrick’s Day parade in Portlaoise. This was a well deserved award as there was a lot of hard work involved. Also well done to the cup winners at Ballyfin vintage day ploughing. This year’s tractor run and field day will take place in Raheen on 18 & 19 of August.
UNDER 14 FOOTBALL FÉILE 2012
St Fintan’s Gaels will be hosting Enniskillen Gaels from Co. Fermanagh for this year’s football féile which takes place from Friday 22 to Sunday 24 June. As hosts we would like to make our visitors feel as welcome as possible to our area. HALF DOOR CLUB
The Half Door club would like to thank all dancers from the parish and from all parishes all over Europe and the USA who made their way to the international festival in Castletown last weekend. It was an incredible gathering. Set dancing classes continue every Tuesday night at 9pm in Scully’s pub Ballyroan. Beginner’s welcome.
