free guided walk in Brittas Wood
As part of National Trails day next Sunday, October 7, a guided walk entitled‘In Search of Autumn Gold’ will be held at Brittas Wood. Walkers will follow the Brittas trail to savour and enjoy the wonderful autumn colours in the woodlands, led by Coillte’s Richard Jack.
Suitable for families and older children, the walk will last 2.5 hours. Meet at forest entrance at 2.30pm, wear sturdy shoes and bring a raincoat, the walk is free of charge. See www.nationaltrailsday.ie for more.
SOCIAL AND SEQUENCE DANCING
Join us for a great night of dancing and exercise starting on Tuesday October 2 and every Tuesday night from 8 pm-9:30 pm in the Community Centre. Maureen Culliton is the teacher with over 25 years’ experience. No partner needed, light refreshments served after the session. All very welcome to join in the fun.
CLONASLEE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION
The monthly meeting of the CCDA will be on Monday October 8 at 8:30 pm in the Community Centre. All members are asked to attend. Meetings are open to anyone from the community.
TRAD FOR TRÓCAIRE
The Clonaslee Branch CCE is hosting a Trad for Trócaire on Friday October 5 in the Parochial Hall with music and singing from 8:30 pm to 11:30 pm. Raffle on the night. It will be a good night of music and craic.
An information and enrolment night will be held for music classes being run by the Clonaslee branch of CCE on Thursday October 11 at 7 pm in the Parochial Hall. Lessons for the following instruments will be offered: tin whistle, fiddle, flute, button accordion, piano accordion, banjo and keyboard. More information will be available on the night.
A sponsored walk will be held in aid of purchasing musical instruments. Walk is on Sunday October 7 at 11:30 am starting from the Parochial Hall. It is suitable for families. Refreshments will be served afterwards in the Parochial Hall with live music.
PARENT TODDLER MORNING
The Clonaslee branch of the Parent Toddler Morning is on Tuesday mornings from 9:30 am – 11:30 am in the Clonaslee Community Centre. Cost is €3 per family. Everyone is welcome.
Siobhan Doorman will be in the Parochial Hall on Tuesdays from 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm. All children are very welcome, all levels catered for. For more information contact Siobhan on 086-856-8029.
