Top score at Newtown whist on Saturday last was won by Christy Maher, Doonane. 1st lady Annette Lawlor. 2nd lady P. Kavanagh. 1st gent Fr Murphy and Willie Murphy. 1st half Eamon Owens and Kit Farrell. 2nd half Rita Brennan. Quarter Gretta McNulty. Raffle winners were Ena Wallace, Nora Fisher, Gerry Kealy and Gretta McNulty. Whist continues as usual on Saturday next.

CAR WINNER

Congratulations to Mary Brennan, Monavea, who won a car in a recent fundraiser.

CRETTYARD GFC

Last week’s winners in the Crettyard Footballers Lotto were Pa Brennan, Clonbrock, Vinny Brennan, Newtown and Mick Kelly. The winning numbers were 3-10-16-26. Membership forms are now available for the coming year. Contact Martin Patterson or Michael O’Shea for same.

SET DANCING

Classes in set dancing continue in Behans of Tolerton, on Thursday nights commencing at 8.30pm. All are welcome.

ROSARY

The rosary is recited at Our Lady’s Shrine, Rossmore, each Sunday at 3pm.

SYMPATHY

Sympathy is extended to Paddy Ryan, Garrendenny, Crettyard on the recent death of his brother, Michael, whose remains were removed to St Brendan’s Church, Muckalee. Burial took place in adjoining cemetery after requiem mass.
