Death

The death has taken place of Patricia Mansfield of Milford, Co. Donegal and formerly of Lowhill, Ballinakill, Co. Laois. Patricia died at Hamilton Park Nursing Home, Balbriggan, Co. Dublin on Sunday, 21st April 2013. Removal took place the following day to the Church of the Assumption, Ballyouskill. Following requiem mass celebrated by Fr. Sean Conlon P.P. Ballinakill internment took place in the adjoining cemetery. Patricia’s late husband Peter Mansfield predeceased her in 1980 and daughter Paula passed away a number of years ago. She is mourned by daugthers Phena, Noelle and Attracta, sons-in-law, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relative and many friends to whom sympathy is extended.

Easter Pony Ride

The annual Easter Pony Ride held by North Kilkenny Hunt on Easter Sunday was a great success this year raising a total of €5,372.00 in aid Motor Neurone Disease Ireland. 130 horses took part on the day and a great evening’s entertainment was had in the Wheel Inn afterwards. The organisers would like to thank every one that contributed their time and hard work in any way.

25 Progressive Card Games

There were six tables at 
Friday’s (26th April) 25 Progressive Card Games. The winners were Anita Foley and Joe Cass (14 games); Vera Brennan and Margaret 
Doheny (12 games); Paddy Walsh and Tony Walsh (12 games).
