July meeting was held on Tuesday July 2 in Social Service Centre. President Pat o Halloran opened meeting with prayer and My Land. A vote of sympathy was passed with President Pat o Halloran on the death of her Uncle. Alice Reilly, Sectary read minutes of June meeting and dealt with correspondence. Catherine Smith, Treasurer gave details of finances. Laois Federation ICA walk in aid of Laois Hospice will take place on Sunday July 14 at 2pm. Starting from Cuisle Centre members will walk with it. Pilate’s classes will commence on Tuesday August 20 and continue for six Tuesdays; starting at 2pm. Catherine Smith gave report on Federation meeting in Clough, next meeting in Cullohill on September 17. Congratulations were extended to Bernie Carroll on getting a prize in the Credit Union Bake a Cake competition recently. Closed for holidays in August. Guild will travel to An Grianan for overnight stay, tour and meal the next day on the way home, this trip will take place on August 6/7. Meeting ended with supper served by Mary Hearn’s. Next meeting is on September 3 at 8pm. Competition, 1 Alice Reilly, 2 Bride Reilly and 3 Pat o Halloran. Raffle, 1 Kathleen Cass and 2 Alice Reilly.

FIELD DAY

Ballypickas Field Day will take place on Sunday July 21, from 2pm in the GAA grounds with events for all the family. We will hold a number for events for free - kids races, kids hurling games, skills competition. We will also hold a number of fun fundraising events. Free admission on the day. All welcome.
