LADIES FOOTBALL

Training for girls Gaelic Football continues at the changed venue of Burke’s Field, Shannon Road, Mountrath (200 yards on right after end of footpath). Training takes place every Monday evening at 5.30pm for all girls aged 5 up to 10 yrs old. We are very keen to encourage new members to join Mountrath Ladies Football Club. It is a great way to keep fit, have fun and learn a new skill. Subscriptions are €2 per week. Late tom goode

Condolences to the family of the late Tom Goode (snr), The Forge, Ballylusk, Ballyfin, who died peacefully on July 1. 2013 at the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Very deeply regretted by his loving wife Eilish, his family Vincent, Thomas, Raymond, Teresa, James, Oliver and Patrick, extended family relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposed at his residence with removal to St. Fintan’s Church, Ballyfin for Funeral Mass on Wednesday with burial immediately afterwards in the new cemetery, Ballyfin.

Late GAVIN RICE

Condolences to the family of the late Gavin Rice of Cloncock, Kilbricken, Mountrath, who passed away on June 29. Deeply regretted by his hearthbroken parents Peter and Ann ,sisters, Niamh, Deidre, and Ann-marie. extended family, relatives and friends. Reposed at home with removal on Thursday to St. Brigids Church Shanahoe for requiem Mass. Funeral afterwards to Shanahoe Cemetry.
