The transition years enjoying their meal at the table

The TY students from Mountrath Community School visited the Ivy House Restaurant and Cookery School in Kildare on January 29.

They were given a healthy three course meal cookery demonstration by the chefs in the restaurant.

The meal was fresh vegetable soup with brown bread, followed by tasty savoury beef meat balls with pasta and tomato sauce, and finally some zesty carrot cake and vanilla ice cream for dessert.

Everyone enjoyed the experience and learned a lot about food and restaurant work.
