The death has occurred, after a brief illness, of Mary Farrell, Castlemarket, Ballinakill. After attaining the great age of eighty nine years she was very active up until recently. Mary gave a considerable amount of time in the US working as a priest’s housekeeper afterwards retiring to Ireland. She enjoyed community life been a very enthusiastic card player. Removal took place on Tuesday last (13th May) from St. Luke’s Hospital Kilkenny to St. Brigid’s Church, Ballinakill for requiem mass celebrated by Fr. Tom Murphy (Ballyragget) and Fr.
