Attanagh Village was entered into the Tidy Towns competition this week. We would appreciate support from the residents in maintaining the village and keeping it litter free. We hope to place more flower tubs around the village over the next week or so and hold tidy up evenings, weather permitting. The council says it can help people to become involved in their local Tidy Towns Group. For more details contact: Siobhan Donoher, Assistant Staff Officer, Environment Section Tel: 057 86 74330 or Email: email@example.com you can also follow us on Facebook.
Another way to help especially during the summer months when Local and National Tidy Towns. Competitions are being judged is to be extra vigilant and report any incidents of litter or illegal dumping on our confidential Freephone Litter Hotline 1800 32 32 30
25 Progressive Card Games
There were six tables at last Friday night’s (16th May) 25 Progressive Card Games. The winners were Martin Walsh and Martin Delaney (11 games); Eileen Carroll and Paddy Delaney (11 games); Seamus Brennan and Dicke Brennan (10 games). This was the last game for this season as we will be taking a break for the summer. Attanagh Residents would like to thank all the card players for their support and also the people who run the games on a weekly basis. We hope to see you in the autumn when the games are resumed.
