Ballinakill Swimming Pool

Ballinakill Swimming Pool is now open daily.

Bingo

Bingo is held every Monday night in the hall on the square at 8.30pm. Over €1,200 in prizes every week. There is also a raffle. More local support would be appreciated.

Congratulations

Congratulations to Katherine Hyland, Heywood, Ballinakill, who qualified for All Ireland Fleadh Cheoil in piano-accordion. She represented Laois, Spink Ceomhaltas, at the Leinster fleadh which was held in Moate, Co Westmeath. Katherine will now compete at Fleadh Cheoil Na hEireann in Sligo, in August. We would like to wish Katherine the very best of luck.

BALLYPICKAS FIELD DAY

Ballypickas Field Day will take place on Sunday August 24, from 2pm in the GAA grounds with events for all the family. We will hold a free kids races and kids hurling games, with prizes. We will also hold a number of fun fundraising events, including temporary tattoos, meggers, bowls, ring toss, refreshments, and much more. On the day, the club member with the most votes will be gunged, €1 per vote.

Ballinakill Juvenile GAA Club

Ballinakill Juvenile GAA Club are holding a clothes collection on August 22 in the GAA club. Clothing should be clean, bed linen, blankets, towels, curtains, bags, belts etc.
