Late Pauline CorCORAN

Condolences to the family of the late Pauline Corcoran (née Drennan) of Crubbin, Ballyroan who died on January 21 peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Joe, and mother of the late John, and sister to recently deceased Pat Drennan she is deeply regretted by her loving son Jim, daughters Anne and Patricia, sisters Eileen and Christine, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposed at her residence. Removal to St Patrick’s Church, Ballyroan for requiem mass. Interment afterwards in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Ballyroan.

Late JEAN HORAN

Condolences to the family of the late Jean Horan (née Godfrey), Ballyroan Rd, Abbeyleix formerly of Mayo who died peacefully on January 17 in the care of the Oakdale Nursing Home. Wife of the late Bart, and mother of Maura, Declan, Deirdre, Kate, and Sinead. Deeply regretted by her sisters Anne Lees and Florence Ruaine and extended family, relatives and friends. Reposed at the residence of her daughter Maura, Ballyroan Road. Removal to St Patrick’s Church Ballyroan for requiem mass with burial immediately afterwards in St Patrick’s Cemetery.

Laois Community Games

The first meeting for 2014 took place on Tuesday January 21 in the Heath hall.

There are still some areas in Laois not participating in Community Games. Contact Anita Allen at 086 1991376 (Laois Development Officer) and she will gladly help you to get your area involved in the future.

ATHLETIC’S TRAINING

Training has resumed at the GAA pitch every Tueday from 7.30pm for all juveniles/adults. Beginners always welcome.
