The Ladies Football Club are holding a cake sale on Saturday March 15 in the FAS office after evening mass. All support appreciated.

Sunday morning Mass in Killasmeestia now at 8.30am. Eucharistic Service in Knockaroo Church Tuesday 3pm & Killasmeestia Thursday 10am. First Confessions Wednesday March 12 St Canice’s Church 8pm for Borris-in-Ossory School & Knockaroo Church Thursday March 13 7.30pm for Killadooley School.

LATE PHILIP BREEN

Sympathy extended to Mrs Miriam Coss (nee Breen) and family on the death of her father, the late Phil Breen, Ballaghmore. His death took place on Tuesday February 18 at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise. His remains reposed at his residence on Wednesday until removal to Ballaghmore Church. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday February 20 followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. The late Phil is deeply regretted by his wife Geraldine, sons Frances, Ger, Paddy. Declan & Aidan, daughter Miriam, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours & friends.

WALKING GROUP

Women’s walking group are holding a Ladette football match on Sunday March 16 in St Josephs NS at 2.30pm to raise funds for the Helping Alopecia Trust. Local men dressing up as women and competing against each other. Your support appreciated.

LATE MARTIN WILLIAMS

The death took place on Wednesday February 26 at Clonmel Hospital of Martin Williams, The Cedars, Ballinaraha, Clonmel, Co Tipperary and formerly Coolowley, Errill. His remains reposed at O’Donoghue’s Funeral Home Clonmel on Thursday evening until removal to St Mary’s Church, Kilsheelan. Funeral Mass took place on Friday morning in Killasmeestia Church followed by burial in Derrinsallagh Cemetery. The late Martin is deeply regretted by his wife Mary, his sisters in law Dinah & Mary, the Bergin Family (Garron), nieces, nephews, relatives & friends.

LATE THOMAS DELANEY

The death took place on Friday February 28 of Thomas (Tom) Delaney, Ballymeelish, Ballybrophy and formerly Raheenphelan Glebe, Donaghmore. His death took place unexpectedly at his daughter Sheila’s residence and his remains reposed there until removal on Sunday evening to Killasmeestia Church. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. The late Tom who was predeceased by his wife Judy and son Noel. He is deeply regretted by his loving family, Sadie, Kieran, Margaret, Mike, Ena & Sheila, daughters in law, sons in law, grandchildren, sister Sheila (Fitzpatrick), brother in law, nieces, nephews, neighbours, relatives & friends.

LATE GEORGE STANLEY

The death took place on Sunday March 2 of George Stanley, Springhill. His remains reposed in Maher’s Funeral Home Roscrea until removal on Tuesday evening to St Cronan’s Church Roscrea. Funeral Service was held on Wednesday followed by burial afterwards in Clonoghill cemetery, Birr, Co Offaly. He is deeply regretted by his loving wife Violet, daughters Hazel & Jean, sons in law David & Damien, grandchildren, relatives & friends.
