Badminton Ireland National Coach Daniel Magee visited the club last Wednesday night.
One of the top Irish players and coach to Ireland’s Olympians, he took the members through some drills and tactics to help improve their game. He then joined in a few games and treated all present to some of the moves of a first class premier player.
Daniel’s all inclusive coaching technique, his willingness to get involved and answer questions ensured that everyone had a great night.
Badminton continues every Monday and Wednesday evening in the hall at St Joseph’s Primary School, Borris in Ossory starting at 7.30pm.
The Annual General Meeting of Borris in Ossory ICA Guild will take place this Wednesday night April 2 at 8pm.

At a recent meeting of Borris in Ossory Bridge Club, a vote of sympathy was passed with the family of the late Mollie Bates.
The late Mollie was a long standing member who will be sadly missed by all.
Fr Robinson will give a talk to the Parents and Guardians of children who are receiving their First Communion after Mass at 8pm in Borris-in-Ossory Church on Tuesday April 8.
