Camross Folk Choir

Camross Folk Choir are holding a carol service on Sunday December 22 at 7.30pm sharp in Camross Church in preparation for the Christmas season. The service will be followed by a mulled wine reception in the hall. We would encourage the people of our community to come out and join us in the service to begin the Christmas Season.

CCÉ

CCÉ Camross will hold their Christmas party night for all classes on Monday December 16 in Camross Hall at 7.30pm. All musicians are required to be in the hall at 7.15pm for instrument tuning. We will be hosting our awards ceremony early in the New Year to honour all our musicians who took part in the 2013 Plearacha competitions and to honour those who succeeded in reaching the all Ireland final. Your support for this important event is greatly appreciated. Thanks is extended to the musicians who played for Mountmellick Hospital on Sunday December 8. At our recent AGM the following were the committee offices elected. Chairperson Pat Collier, vice chair Breda Culleton, secretaries Lisa Culleton and Mary Rose Cunningham, treasurer Paula Bennett, DLP Catherine Lalor, Irish officer Mary Delaney, auditor Mick Culleton, PRO Róise Nevin, County Board representatives Laura Lowry and Colin Donnery. Classes will finish after the concert on Monday December 16 and resume on Monday January 6. CCÉ Camross wish to thank all those who supported us in our many endeavours throughout 2013. We want to wish all our members, their families and all our friends and supporters to a peaceful Christmas and good wishes for 2014.

Camross Scouts

We would like to thank everyone for the great response to our Christmas fair last weekend. Your support is very much appreciated. We would like to thank the parish groups who nominated Camtoss Scouts for a Community Award we were delighted to be nominated and we had a lovely evening at the Heritage Hotel meeting and chatting with many familiar faces from the parish and county

Killanure NS Christmas concert will take place on Tuesday December 17 at 7pm in Killanure Church.

Camross NS Christmas concert will take place on Thursday December 19 in Camross Community Hall at 7pm.

Congratulations

Congratulations to Hannah Dooley, Active Retirement and ICA Camross, Tim Doran GAA, Ann Hanavik And Ann Delaney Scouts, on receiving their awards at a function in the Heritage Hotel recently. These nominees put a lot of work and effort into their relevant organisations and their awards are well merited. The awards were sponsored by the Leinster Express.
