The Slieve Bloom Association Annual Christmas Dinner will be on Sunday November 25 at 1pm. We are returning to Kinnity Castle, as the event was enjoyed hugely by the large attendance there last year. Clonaslee Branch Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann. Membership is now due. Adults €12, juniors €6, family €20. Classes is for beginners and advanced.

It’s that time of year again. Team Hope is appealing to everyone to give a little to those forgotten children who are victims of war, disease or poverty. Leaflets have been given to children in all the local schools. If you need more or you wish to spread a little joy by filling a shoe box please contact Annette Doolan on 087-988-1046. Boxes need to be handed in by Wednesday November 7 to Annette or the schools.


Church gate collection is on Saturday and Sunday November 10 and 11 in aid of the Christmas party. Your support would be much appreciated.

Condolenes to the family of Joe Malone (Ballinahemmy, Clonaslee) who died suddenly on Monday, October 29 at his residence. Sadly missed by his brother Willie, extended family, relatives and friends. Reposed at the Chapel of Rest at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise with removal to at St Manman’s Church, Clonaslee for Funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in the New Cemetery, Clonaslee.
