If you are looking to sweep away the January blues than what better way to do so than at the annual Clonaslee panto. Cinderella, staged by the Clodiagh Players and directed by Suzanne Conroy, gets underway this weeek. Wednesday 15 to Saturday 18 inclusive from 8pm. An extra matinee show will also be on Saturday 18. Family tickets €25, Oaps and Students €5 Adults €10.

The Slieve Bloom Association will hold its next meeting on Thursday January 16, ICA Hall Mountmellick at 8.30pm. The group aim to promote the Slieve Bloom Amenity Area, while protecting its unique landscape. Anyone like-minded and interested in joining, is welcomed to the meeting.The group wish a happy New Year to all their members and those who have supported trips, festivals and walks (sponsored and otherwise) over the past year.
