FUNDRAISING WEEKEND

Fundraising weekend in aid of Pieta House – Suicide Awareness and Prevention is on St Patrick’s weekend March 14 – 16 in Swans Bar. On Friday March 14 a table quiz at 9pm at €20 per table. On Saturday March 15 an auction with Rock on Paddy. On Sunday March 16 a cake sale from10 am, fun run/walk at11:30 am with registration from 10:45 am. Cost is €10 per adult, €20 per family or €5 for students. There will be a tug of war at 3 pm and loads of various live bands on Saturday and Sunday night. CRIPPLE OF INISHMAAN

The Clodiagh Players present Martin McDonagh’s play ‘The Cripple of Inishmaan’ from Wednesday March 26 to Saturday March 29 at 8 pm sharp in the Parochial Hall. Tickets mustbe booked as there is limited seating. Book your tickets on 085-783-1104 and get ready for some drama! Please be aware that due to limited seating, your seat will be saved until 7:55pm at which time, if there are people waiting to see the show, they will be given your seat.

FAMILY BINGO

Family bingo is on Sunday March 23 at 2:30 pm in the Parochial Hall. All ages welcome to come join in the fun.

TIDY TOWNS

The AGM will be on March 31 at 8:30pm in the Community Centre. New members very welcome. Plans for this year’s entry has to be decided. We welcome ideas.

ST MANMAN’S CHURCH CHOIR

Thank you to Tom Conroy and Fr O’Reilly for have the chance to sing ‘The Brittas Mass’, which was composed by Tom Conroy, in the Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity, Waterford on February 22. The choir went down very well and received two rounds of applause.

Everyone had a nice time and it was a lovely experience. Thank you to Brendan Mahon, our driver for all his help and cooperation with this group.

COMMUNITY ALERT

Text alert message will soon be up and running. You can still sign up and the cost is €10. Forms available in all shops, if you don’t see them just ask. More information from Matt Barrett on 087-672-6290. Text service is to be used to alert any suspicious behaviour in the area and to make people more aware. This service is hugely beneficial to the community when used properly. We would like to thank everyone for their cooperation on this matter.

Next meeting is on March 24 at 8:30pm in the Community Centre.

CLONASLEE BRANCH CCE

Music classes continue weekly in the Community Centre from 4:30 on Thursdays also traditional singing classes available. For more information contact John Conway on 085-285-1772.

LADIES NIGHT

SCOIL BHRÍDE ENROLMENT

The village primary school is currently endeavouring to determine numbers for the school year 2014 –2015. It is imperative that parents of all Junior infants for September 2014 contact the school in writing over the next few weeks. Please give details of child’s name, address, date of birth and PPS number and your own contact number. Actual forms will be given later in year for all those who make contact with us now. CASTLECUFFE NS ENROLMENT

Please contact Castlecuffe National School on 057-864-8238 if you wish to enrol your child for the school term starting in September 2014. Enrolment forms and information will be given to parents.

SOCIAL SERVICES BINGO

The Social Services bingo is on Wednesdays from 2 – 4 pm in the Heritage Centre. Come along for bingo, chat and a cuppa.
