The Clodiagh Players present Martin McDonagh’s ‘The Cripple of Inishmaan’ from Wednesday March 26 to Saturday March 29 at 8 pm sharp in the Parochial Hall. Tickets must be booked as there is limited seating. Book your tickets on 085-783-1104 and get ready for some drama! Please be aware that due to limited seating, your seat will be saved until 7:55 pm at which time, if there are people waiting to see the show, they will be given your seat.

ST STEPHEN’S DAY HOSPICE WALK

The AGM will be on March 31 at 8:30 pm in the Community Centre. New members very welcome. Plans for this year’s entry has to be decided. We welcome ideas.
Text alert message will soon be up and running. You can still sign up and the cost is €10. Forms available in all shops, if you don’t see them just ask. More information from Matt Barrett on 087-672-6290. Text service is to be used to alert any suspicious behaviour in the area and to make people more aware. This service is hugely beneficial to the community when used properly. We would like to thank everyone for their cooperation on this matter. At the monthly CCDA meeting the following was discussed: handball courts, heating of centre, fire alarms, discos for teenagers, refreshment night held for lotto sellers, Laois hospice, road closure from March 18 to April 11, Ladies Night on April 4, threat to close our Post Office, text messaging in process of starting up, new meters for Christmas lights, land around astro pitch needs to be levelled, fundraising events for near future including cookery demo, strictly come dancing competition. Community events: Clodiagh Players production on March 26-29, Tom Conroy concert in the Heritage Centre on April 11, Peita House fundraising weekend. Next meeting April 14 at 8:30 pm in the Community Centre.

The Social Services bingo is on Wednesdays from 2 – 4 pm in the Heritage Centre. Come along for bingo, chat and a cuppa.
