Thanks to all who participated in the annual Paddy Breen Darts Tournament recently. Total amount raised was €70, towards the upkeep of Clonaslee graveyard.
Meeting for the Clodiagh Players will be on Wednesday August 20 at 8 pm in the Parochial Hall.
The local playschool reopens on Tuesday September 2 at 9:30 am.

A MUSICAL STORY IN MOUNT ST ANNE’S
“Chris’s Journey”, composed and performed by singer and pianist Tom Conroy, will be performed in Mount St Anne’s Retreat Centre, Killenard, on Friday, August 22 at 8 pm. Tickets €10 (€5 consession), available on the door. Last chance to see Tom perform in Ireland before he takes his show to America. Featuring original compositions and popular covers, the show is about a young Irish boy in the 1960’s who emigrates to Australia and later returns.

SLIEVE BLOOM ASSOC ANNUAL TOUR
Bus tour is on Saturday August 30 leaving Portlaoise at 7.30 am via Mountmellick, Rosenallis, Clonaslee, Cadamstown and Kinnitty. Visiting Portumna Castle then Clonmacnoise where refreshments are served, then on to Athlone Castle followed by a Viking tour on the Shannon. Finishing with dinner in the Hudson Bay Hotel. The Slieve Bloom Association annual Sponsored Walk takes place on Sunday, August 24. Meet in Clonaslee at 2pm for a walk around Brittas Lake. All welcome to join in the walk. Refreshments afterwards in the Swan Bar. For more call Mick Dowling @ 0874106493.
Circuit training is on Thursdays from 7-8 pm and Saturdays in the Community Centre from 10 – 11 am. Suitable for male or females and caters for all levels of fitness, from beginners to the advances. Cost is €7 and all welcome to join in.
