Killeshin FC sponsored agriculture auction on this Thursday 15 November at Leinster Marts, Killeshin Road, Carlow in conjunction with the Thursday night weanling sale. Over 20 lots including charolais bull weanling, Friesian bull calf, pen of store lambs, plus various lots of agriculture equipment. All lots generously sponsored by local farmers and agri-businesses.

KILLESHIN FC LOTTO
There was no winner of the recent lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 03, 07, 12 and 30. The four lucky dip winners were Mick Brennan, Joe Mc Donald, Stefan Comerford, and Steven Devereaux each will receive €25 and the sellers prize of €25 was won by Colm Fitzgerald. The next jackpot stands at € 6,800 and tickets can be bought from any club member or from their local shop and public houses for €2 each.
COMMUNITY GAMES AGM
Graiguecullen Community Games would like to congratulate Vera Smith and Louise Maher on winning adult and youth volunteer awards in County Carlow and will be presented with their awards at a presentation night in Athlone later this month.
PARISH SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION PROGRAMME
The third week of our First Communion and Confirmation programme for Graiguecullen takes place at the 6.30pm mass next Saturday 17 November in St Clare’s. The First Communion Preparation programme for Killeshin takes place next Sunday 18 November at 10.15am mass in Holy Cross and the Confirmation Programme for Killeshin takes place on Sunday 25 November.

GRAIGUECULLEN WOMEN’S GROUP
Graiguecullen Women’s Group would like to thank everyone who supported their recent coffee morning and cake sale in the Lazy River Café, everyone who baked cakes or donated prizes for raffle or who dropped in for a cuppa that morning. Total amount raised €1,800 for Cancer Awareness.
The annual mass to remember all our parishioners who died during the past year or family members who died during the past year will be celebrated on Friday 30 November at 7.30pm in St Clare’s.
A special family mass will be celebrated in St Clare’s on the first Sunday of each month at 11.30am.
Stressed or anxious due to bullying, illness, bereavement, loss of companion or whatever the reason. A talk will be given in Oisín House on Wednesday 21 November at 7.30. Speaker will be Maureen Ryan. All welcome, tea and chat.

ANNUAL FLAG DAY AND CHURCH GATE COLLECTION
The Presentation School Band will hold their annual flag day and church gate collection on Saturday and Sunday 17 and 18 November. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
Anyone who would like to reflect on the Sunday readings is invited to a half hour meeting each Wednesday at 7.30pm in the Parish Centre. A special invitation to all who will be reading the Word of God at mass on Sunday. This is an opportunity for people to enhance their participation in their celebration of mass each Sunday.
ÉIST CANCER SUPPORT CENTRE
Éist Cancer Support Centre, Waterfront, Mill Lane Carlow in partnership with the Irish Cancer Society is running a six week pilot programme for prostate cancer survivors starting early November. This programme aims to support prostate cancer survivors by promoting physical well-being, developing coping skills and sharing experiences. Meditation takes place every Tuesday at 11am at the centre, Art each Wednesday from 11am to 1 pm. Prostate survivor programme starts early November. Contact the centre on 0599139684 for information.
