CAROL SERVICE

Parish Carol Service on next Sunday 22 December at 6pm in St Clare’s Church. Liam Lawton, Killeshin Pipe Band and all our Parish Choirs and Sunday school children will be taking part. Admission is free but a collection will be taken up to support our local parish St Vincent de Paul Christmas appeal.

KILLESHIN FC

Recent Lotto results, numbers drawn were 07, 08, 12 and 15. There was no winner. The €25 lucky dip winners were; Declan O Neill, Donna Hayden, Shay Dooley and Mary Hennessey. Seller’s prize won by Fergus Nolan. Next Jackpot now stands at €3,400

PRIESTS COLLECTION

This quarterly collection for the support of the priests of the parish will be taken up at all Masses on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Special envelopes are provided in the boxes or alternatively envelopes are available at the church doors.

NATIVITY STORY

The Clients, Staff, FAS Care workers and Volunteers in RehabCare Carlow present “The Christmas Nativity Story - Interrupted!” on Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 December in the RehabCare Resource Centre Castlecomer Road at 8pm sharp. Admission only €5 with raffle and refreshments each night. Please support.

KILLESHIN PIPE BAND

Killeshin Pipe Band is celebrating 50 years in 2014. If anyone has old photographs, articles or any information on the band they would love to see them. Contact Amy 0857213090 or drop them into Killeshin shop. Many thanks.

ST CLARE’S

The Advent food appeal concludes next weekend, the fourth Sunday of Advent in all Churches. Everyone involved thanks everyone who has contributed food and also has donated money. They are now giving out over 100 food parcels each week. Please leave non-perishable food items in the baskets at the Church doors.

PENITENTIAL SERVICES

Advent Penitential Services will take place at all Masses on the weekend of 22 and 22 December. Visiting priests will be present. This is a great opportunity to prepare spiritually for Christmas.

PRAYER BOX

Parishioners are invited to write any special prayer or intention for Christmas and place it in the special box beside the altar in St Clare’s. These will be placed in the crib for Christmas.

BADMINTON CLUB

Killeshin Badminton Club has resumed on Thursdays at 8.30pm in Killeshin Hall. All new members welcome. For further information, contact Siobhan 086 0703491

GRAIGUECULLEN GAA

There was no Jackpot winner in the recent draw. The numbers drawn were 06, 14, 26 and 31, there was no Jackpot winner. Next Jackpot €10,000, Reserve €10,000. There was one Match 3 winner of €200, Noel Fleming c/o Noel Fleming. Sellers prize of €20 each went to Paddy Brennan, Fran Doogue and Patsy O’Neill.
