VARIETY Night & SUPPER

Following on from the great successes of the supper dances for the last two years, it is happening again this year. It will take place on Friday 28 February in St Fiacc’s Hall. Supper will be followed by a cabaret and dance with Fr Liam and an array of local artists taking part. This year the variety night will be in aid of St Fiacc’s House, the parish welfare, day care centre and meals on wheels. We ask all who wish to host a table to contact the parish office at 0599141833 as soon as possible.

MEDJUGORJE PRAYER

Medjugorje Night of Prayer in St Clare’s Church, Graiguecullen, Rosary, Holy Mass, and Adoration on Wednesday 29 January. Daniella, guide from Medjugorje and friends will join the night and speak at the Mass. Rosary begins at 7.15pm led by the Poor Clare Sisters followed by Holy Mass and Adoration.

Monthly meeting this Thursday 23 January at 8pm in the Parish centre.

EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS

A course for new Eucharistic Ministers will start during Lent. Anyone interested should contact the Parish Office at 0599141833. If you are interested in finding out more about this special ministry you are welcome to attend the course. No obligation to commit.

KILLESHIN FC

Recent Lotto results, numbers drawn were 04, 12, 15 and 27. There was no winner. €25 lucky dip winners were ‘The Square one’, Brendan Fitzpatrick, Stephen Devereux and Byrne family. Seller’s prize went to Michael Dempsey. The Jackpot now stands at €3,900.

SPECIAL OLYMPICS

Carlow Special Olympics Club is continuously looking for volunteers. Do you have an hour or two to spare, once a week or once a month or even just occasionally, then they would love to hear from you. YOUTH MINISTRY SPACE

Any parishioners willing to help make St Brigid crosses should come to the Parish Centre on Saturday 25 anytime from 11am to 5pm. All proceeds to the Youth Ministry fund to subsidise the Youth Pilgrimages and the cost of the youth retreats and general day-to-day expenses. Sunday school; Group 3 are on next Sunday 26 January. St Fiacc’s House; volunteering for rambling nights take place every Monday night from 8 to 9pm

There was no Jackpot winner in the recent draw. The numbers drawn were 04, 15 18, 20, there was no Jackpot winner. Next Jackpot €10,000, Reserve €10,000. There were two Match 3 Winners of €100 each; M Keegan c/o M. Keegan and Michael & Molly c/o Lord Mayor.

LITTLE THEATRE FUND RAISER

Carlow Little Theatre Society presents ‘Calendar Girls’ in the GBS Theatre from Tuesday 21 to Saturday 25 January at 8pm nightly. All the profit from the show on Tuesday night will be divided between Carlow-Kilkenny Homecare and Éist. Tickets €15 and €12.

BADMINTON CLUB

BOCCIA PROGRAMME

Boccia is a competitive sport similar to bowls. It is an inclusive sport that may be enjoyed by people of all abilities. It’s on Thursdays in St Fiacc’s Hall from 5 to 6pm for 10 to 18 year olds.
