Takes place on Friday 28 February in St Fiacc’s Hall. Supper followed by a cabaret & dance with Fr Liam Fay in aid of St Fiacc’s House, the parish welfare, day care centre and meals on wheels. Meeting of Table Hosts in Parish Centre at 7pm on Tuesday 25 February.

LOURDES DRAW

The Annual Draw will be held on Saturday 15 March and draw cards will be available from this Wednesday next. Looking forward to Lourdes Pilgrimage in July.

KILLESHIN FC

Recent Lotto results, numbers drawn were 2,4,10,23. no winner. €25 lucky dip winners were Joey Power, Liam Brennan, Sean Fitzgerald and Carol Fagan. HISTORICAL SOCIETY

Illustrated lecture by Mairead M Johnston, textile and costume historian and consultant. From fame to failure, the Abbeyleix Carpet Factory. Carpets for the first-class staterooms of the Titanic were made here. Ms Johnston is a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Fan Makers and is the author of “Ice and cold storage-a Dublin history” and “Hidden in the pile...the Abbeyleix Carpet Factory”. She holds an M. in Historic House Studies and is a Research Principal with the Thomas Prior Academy.

Seven Oaks Hotel at 8pm on this Wednesday 19 February. Admission is free and all welcome.
