FASHION SHOW

TABLE QUIZ

There will be a table quiz in the Talbot Hotel on Monday 10 March at 8.30 in aid of the athletes representing Carlow Special Olympics Club who are taking part in the Special Olympics All-Ireland games in Limerick in June. Table of four is €40.

LOURDES DRAW

The Annual Draw will be held on Saturday 15 March and draw cards will be available from this Wednesday next. There are small changes to the Draw and this year each line will be only €5 with 20 lines on each card and four free lines for the seller. Hopefully this will make it easier for each of the promoters and it’s felt it’s definitely worth a try for this year anyway. Looking forward to Lourdes Pilgrimage in July.

Recent Lotto results, numbers drawn were 03, 04, 06 and 08. There was no winner. €25 lucky dip winners were Mary Hennessey, Julia Dempsey, Deirdre Whelan and Michael Hoy. The seller’s prize went to Darragh McDonald. Jackpot now stands at €4,500. It’s the 130 anniversary of the founding of the Holy Cross Sodality. It’s the 70th anniversary of the revival of the Procession from Graiguecullen which the Pipe Band will lead for the 50 year in a row. It’s all on Sunday 04 May.Bishop Denis Nulty has accepted an invitation from the Holy Cross Sodality to walk in the Procession which leaves from St Clare’s at 10.30am and celebrate 12 noon Mass in Holy Cross Church. Everyone is invited to be part of this very special occasion by walking with us.

PRE-BAPTISM MEETING

The next meeting for parents who are presenting their child for Baptism will be held on Monday 07 April from 7 to 8.30pm in the Parish Centre. All parents who are having their child baptised during April and May are asked to attend.

Connect Ireland in partnership with Laois Co Council are asking local people who have relatives or friends working in Canada, Australia, America, etc. to sound out the management of the companies where they work and see if they would be interested in expanding to Ireland. If they show an interest, all your relative or friend has to do is to send the company’s contact details to you and you send them on to Connect Ireland who will take it from there. In the event of the company setting up here and creating jobs there will be reward for both you and your community. BOCCIA PROGRAMME
