Dog fouling has been a persistent problem in the grounds of St Fiacc’s Primary School. Dog waste is a serious danger to the health of the children. Please be advised that no dogs are allowed on green areas or playgrounds. Dogs are not permitted in the school grounds while children are on the premises. A meeting of all parents of children preparing for First Penance from Killeshin NS will take place in the parish Centre next Thursday 20 March at 7pm and a meeting for parents of children from Graiguecullen NS at 8pm in the Parish Centre on the same night. This is a very important sacrament for your child so we would appreciate if you could attend this very brief meeting.

The 130 anniversary of the founding of the Holy Cross Sodality and the 70th anniversary of the revival of the Procession from Graigue which the Pipe Band will lead for the 50 year in a row on Sunday 04 May. Bishop Denis Nulty to walk in the Procession which leaves from St Clare’s at 10.30am and celebrate 12 noon Mass in Holy Cross Church. All welcome.
Training for the Juveniles restarts next Sunday 23 at 11.15 and all new children are welcome who wish to play and also remind those who may not have registered they can do so at training. The next meeting for parents who are presenting their child for Baptism will be held on Monday 07 April from 7 to 8.30pm in the Parish Centre. All parents who are having their child baptised during April and May are asked to attend.

The 36 Annual Cork to Carlow Cycle in aid of County Carlow Wheelchair Association will take place on the 14 and 15 June with further details later. All monies raised stays in Carlow and County to support local services.

Talk it Over suicide and general bereavement support service will hold its AGM at its premises in Castle Hill House, Castle Hill, Carlow on Tuesday the 25 of February at 8pm.
Carlow County Development Partnership are hosting a free Information Afternoon with afternoon tea for older people in Carlow. This will take place on this Wednesday 19 March from 1pm to 3.30pm with afternoon tea served at 1pm. Stands from local service providers that can support older people will be in attendance. The event will also celebrate the launch of the Over 50’s Handbook, which was created as a result of consultations with older people under the County Carlow Age Friendly Strategy. Come along and visit your local service provider stands, enjoy afternoon tea and receive your copy of the Over 50’s Handbook.
